Submitting photos to the felizine:
We are always happy to get photos of kittens and cats from our family of subscribers. In order for them to look as good as possible online, we need your help.
These guidelines apply to all photos submitted for any reason: Cover, our Gallery of Fabulous Felines, My Favorite Cat Photos, articles-stories-poems, Rainbow Bridge, something new, or anything I forgot.- The standard JPEG format is best for our purposes
- Please reduce the original size to about 800 x 800 pixels m/l, for ease of emailing.
- If you're shooting just for us, please turn off your camera's automatic dating feature. It detracts from the photo and sometimes it can't be edited out without hurting the pic.
- Please do not edit or "enhance" the photos - no frames, captions, whatever. Doing so just makes whatever adjustments are necessary (if any) harder - or impossible - to do.
- Send us at least two shots for each cat whenever possible and please identify the cats.
- Include your notes** about your cat(s) as the text of your email. Please put Gallery, Favorites, Cover, or Bridge as the Subject, so we know why we're getting the pictures.
- For the Rainbow Bridge, please include the relevant dates
- We don't use photos of cats in clothing or costumes (except for Rainbow Bridge, if that's what you really want...).
Please send your photos as attachments to your email, not embedded in the body of the message. Mail to (I show the address this way top make it harder for the spammers' robots to get it.)
