I found Suzy as a very small kitten. We guess she was about 4 weeks old or so. She was sitting on the curb watching traffic go by.

The poor little thing was full of fleas and of course she had worms. She needed help in going potty for a few days, but she soon mastered the process. She was born in the Spring of 1993 and kept the fact she was deaf a secret for a while. She was so smart and active we never suspected for a long time.

She has had a few medical problems since she was 11, a stroke and just before that, diagnosed with IBS. She finally has gained some of the weight back that she lost with her problems. She is feeling so much better and getting into everything again. I love it!

Just while I have been on the computer this afternoon she has knocked Ray's coffee cup, with coffee, off of the table along with a pen, a pencil and my can of nuts. Each time something hits the floor she looks at me and dares me to do something about it. And I usually do. I pick her up and give her sugars! She keeps Ray and me busy. She has broken more things!

As a kitten, her favorite game was fetch. She would play as long as we would. Also, she was once Ray's baby, but as the years passed she became mine. She lies on my chest at night with her little foot on my face and purrs and right then I know all is right with her world. I love the way she looks into my eyes just before she falls asleep. I always say a prayer for her then, that God will keep her safe in his hands. Just this Spring we thought we were going to lose her, but she came back stronger than before. God, and the vet, pulled her through.
