LITTLE FARRAH BEAR

My sister, Little Bear, has changed a lot in the last year. She used to be a fluffy black blob, but now she’s become a pretty, sleek, long-haired cat. She has really long hair curling around her ears, so that Mama and Aunty Susan call her Farrah Bear. I’m not sure what that means, but Little Bear still has that “deer-in-the-headlights” look. She’s smart, but very shy. The other day, she ran in and jumped in Aunty Susan’s lap for a cuddle. That’s the first time that she’d ever done that, and Little Farrah Bear is two years old. Little Farrah Bear seems to have enjoyed the cuddle so much that she’s cuddled every day since. I asked her what took her so long, and she just looked at me. Oh, well, she’s my sister and I only bop her on the head to get her attention.

MY NEW BALL

Mama was afraid that I wasn’t getting enough exercise, so she brought me a new ball. I toss it and chase it and grab it and rabbit kick it. I have so much fun. If it bounces on the floor, Mama will toss it back to me. I can catch it in mid-air, most of the time. No one else has such a wonderful ball. Mama gave it to me, because she loves me so much.

THE PRETTY FISH

Mama got me an aquarium. It is beautiful. It has pretty fish swimming in it and I get to watch it as much as I want. Well, I did until “the incident”.

I was watching the pretty fish swim by, when Mama decided to get a picture of me watching the fish. She picked me up and put me down beside the aquarium, but it wasn’t a real aquarium. The fish weren’t real. It was a lamp.

I freaked out and jumped down from Mama’s arms and ran and hid. I was so scared that I wouldn’t even look at that aquarium again. Mama moved it out of the room and put it somewhere else. I love having my picture taken, but I choose when to do it and where, and with whom or what.

I HAVE SOME NEW GET ATTENTION MOVES

Sometimes when I need some loving, I go looking for Mama to cuddle and love me. Most of the time, I wait around until Mama walks by and try to get her attention. Looking cute works all of the time. Looking pitiful can have Mama carrying me around and saying lovely things. Acrobatics work the best. Mama laughs and I get a tummy-rub, chin-scratch, and cuddle. You can’t beat that.

My name is Belle and I’m two years old.
