Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms - classical music. That's what I think of when I look at this photo. I can almost hear a soothing orchestra playing in the background. There's a serenity and timelessness in this peaceful arbor setting featuring a strikingly handsome Himalayan. Perhaps an artist in a pre-camera era painted or sketched this fellow's ancestors in a similar setting. Makes me smile to think so...

From my mother; London News is a TV news segment. I don't think those gallant men and women who battle rain, wind, and snow to deliver bills and tax demands would appreciate being called wimps on air - no matter how accurate a description...

"There was another lovely story on the London News about a kitten called Ellie - a six-month old tabbie who hates postmen. The Royal Mail have apparently written to her owner saying that unless he can control this Catzilla, he may have his postal delivery stopped. He has a low-level letterbox and apparently the kitten couldn't resist clawing the hand of the female postman who delivered some letters through the box. The posties are such wimps these days that they say unless the kitten is under control - that's it for deliveries! It isn't April Fool's Day, is it? The obvious answer is to move the letterbox higher up the door - not exactly rocket science but something Ellie's owner doesn't seem to have thought about..."
