Great News to start a Great New Year!

I don't want to be an alarmist, but I fear the dreaded UCS (Ugly Cat Sydrome) may be spreading across the globe. UCS is when humans fear the cats they serve aren't pretty enough to allow the sharing of photos with other cat lovers. Some won't even allow other humans in the house unless the cats are in hiding!

Now, I admit my evidence of UCS may be a bit thin: It has long been a constant struggle to secure enough photos for The Gallery of Fabulous Felines or My Favorite Cat Photos, let alone both. Response from our readers has ground to a halt, leading me to suspect UCS. We have but one cat for each this month, and will combine the features.

I fear The Gallery of Fabulous Felines has run its course and is now discontinued. We're keeping My Favorite Cat Photos and hoping to be wrong about the nasty UCS. Time will tell. You can help by going to Photos and sending us your kitty pics. Today, please.

You'll note, we hope, a greater number of cartoons than usual in this issue. Who can't use more laughter? Your opinion is welcome, of course, as always.
