Shopper and I met at the local grocery store. She was wandering around looking for the cat food aisle. When one of the employees started to put her out in the parking lot, I took her to my car. She still had sutures from her spaying and was not a very friendly cat. I placed ads and phoned vets. No one claimed her. It took a while for Shopper to adjust to our household, but now she is very much part of our family. With her fluffy tail, large paws, and black nose, she reminds us of the Hemmingway cats. Sometimes, because of her markings, we expect her to burst into songs from the Broadway play: CATS. Shopper is a real charmer.
