THE HOLIDAYS ARE OVER

We had some happy times and I now have great memories. I had a lot of special time with Mama. We played together and she gave me special food and treats. I like to cuddle with Mama, but I had the most fun helping her decorate the Lemon Tree with ornaments.

I got to put up the fox ornament. And then I got to sniff all of the ornaments and bat them around. Mama didn’t care, because they don’t break. They bounce. We received catnip toys and balls with bells inside. I was allowed to play with wrapping paper and bows. Yes, the holidays were lots of fun.

MY EARS DO NOT NEED CLEANING

I’m never going to shake my head in front of Mama again. She ran right in with ear cleaning stuff. Auntie Susan was part of the conspiracy to torture me. Auntie Susan held me, wrapped up in a towel, while Mama put stuff in my ears. I didn’t like that one bit. I’m going to have to hold my head still, or learn to run faster.

IT WASN’T REALLY NOT MY FAULT

Mama had a problem getting my favorite litter for my very own litter box. I guess that it wasn’t her fault, but it wasn’t my fault either. I didn’t like the litter that she bought. It wasn’t soft on my paws, like my corn litter, and it didn’t smell as sweet as my corn litter. I was not protesting, when I went pee-pee in my bed. I was not trying to make a statement, when I went pooh-pooh in the basket. I couldn’t help myself. I’m OK now. Mama found my corn litter and everything is just fine. Mama isn’t mad at me, either. She loves me very much.

2009 POSSIBILITIES

Now that I’m older, I need to think of the future and 2009 has a lot of possibilities.

  1. I’ve decided to stand up to The Evil One. I will not allow Holly to run my life. I will go wherever I like. Oh, oh, she’s looking at me. I think that I’ll start tomorrow.
  2. I will be more demanding. I won’t wait for anyone to wait on me. I will make my wants known. I am a cat, after all. All right, I’ll be nice about it, but I’ll still make everyone know what I want and need.
  3. I will not break anything – much.
  4. I will be sweet and loving. This one is easy. I’m already sweet and loving.

That sounds really good. I hope that everyone has a great year. See you next month.

Happy New Year to all.

My name is Belle and I’m two years old.

When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.
