Last month, you may recall, we had only one photo each for My Favorite Cat Photos and The Gallery of Fabulous Felines. I feared a global outbreak of the dreaded UCS (Ugly Cat Sydrome). I said we would keep My Favorite and hope to have enough photos to run it, but that we were discontinuing our Gallery. A number of our wonderful readers decided they didn't like that idea and responded to the point where both photo features are in this issue. How long they last is entirely up to you. I have to earn of living, too, and constantly searching and begging for cat photos to use finally got to be too much. So, I had to quit doing it. Half of the Domestic Duo in our house, namely Lee, has gotten a serious case of Kitten Fever. Just kind of sneaked up on her - like a cat. Since I work at home and she works "out there", including weekends, the search for a suitable ball of mewing fluff has fallen to me. I've spoken to some shelter folks and, weather permitting, I expect to visit them tomorrow (Super Bowl Sunday!) and "inspect the herd". No hurry, Lee has some specific requirements - I'll let you know... How we ended up with one of our biggest issues ever in the shortest month of the year, I don't know. But we did and sincerely hope you thoroughly enjoy it. Warmest Thanks to all our wonderful and generous contributors of essays, photos, articles, photos, stories, and photos, without whom we would not exist!
May your month be filled with blessings beyond your hopes, good health, love, laughter, and cats! Pax Felinus,
Shouldn't you find out?

Princess Fluffybutt was rescued near Annapolis, along with her sister. We don't know if they were feral or abandoned, but they were (are) beautiful. When we found them at the shelter, in March 2004, her sister wasn't ready for adoption, but we scooped up Fluffybutt immediately. In fairly short order, she had Kent trained to serve her needs. Turns out he's pretty good at it... Princess Fluffybutt is very sociable and actively oversees her realm daily - between naps.
Rascal, The Night Stalker, is a fraidy cat. A handsome devil, he spends way too much time hiding under the bed. But, we're verrrry slowly making progress in drawing him out. Underline slowly. He was rescued by Cats-R-Us in Annapolis and joined our family in November 2004. Where he was before that, nobody knows. Where he is now is probably under the bed - unless Mommy (Lee) is in bed. Then he is, too, demanding her attention.
