We’ve had some excitement around here. I spent several days trying to find out what was going on. No one wanted to talk to me. Mama disappeared for a really long time and I couldn’t find her anywhere. Aunty Susan took very good care of me and kept telling me that Mama would be back soon. I didn’t understand it all, because I wasn’t around for Termi and her lymphoma. I was kind of worried about Davey Jones. He’s my big brother and most of the time we get along fine. Sometimes he bops me on the head, but I think that’s what big brothers are supposed to do. I invented a new way of exercising. It’s called Feline Yoga or Feloga. First you stretch and examine you the base of your tail. You can strike a giraffe pose, too. My favorite is the ostrich where I look like I’m hiding my head in the sand. All this is in preparation for taking a nap. Napping is another art form. We’ll talk about that at another time. I spend all of my time thinking up ways to make Mama and Aunty Susan smile. My name is Belle and I’m two years old.

What’s happening?
Mama finally came back after being gone for a whole day and everyone was talking about Davey Jones and his diagonal notice. I didn’t understand what was going on until Ferbie told me that diagonal notice was really a medical diagnosis. (See Davey Jones’ Diary)
After a couple of days, Davey Jones came to visit me and we had a nice long talk. We talked about his adventures at The OSU Clinic and all of the excitement. We talked for a while and he told me that he was sick, but had medicine to make him feel better. We chatted for a while and then shared a bowl of food. He bopped me on the head so that I hopped up on the shelf. Davey Jones curled up and took a nap in my bed and I napped on the shelf.
I can do that easily because I’m so adorable. I can do that by just being myself. I stretch and bend and look very appealing. Everyone smiles and laughs at my antics. Mostly, I just reach out as Mama goes by and she is just naturally charmed. I don’t even have to work hard. Everyone loves me and I make everyone smile.![]()
how many of us, I ask you, would be capable of becoming cats?
